The most precious type of coffee, traditionally known as the “champagne” or “Rolls Royce” of coffees. Grown in the Blue Mountains, it is available only in very small quantities, following strict production control which starts with growth of seedlings and continues with hand collection of ripe beans only to continue with final processing. It is not kept in ordinary jute sacks like other kinds of coffee, but protected by wooden barrels. Just like rum. And traces of the liquor can be found in its flavour, blended with other tropical aromas and flavours such as vanilla, cocoa, almond, melted butter and even a pleasant hint of tobacco. Definitely the king of coffees.
